AEW announces new match and signings ahead of Double Or Nothing

On today’s episode of Being The Elite, Kenny Omega announced a six-women tag team match has been added to the lineup for Double Or Nothing. This match announcement also confirms the potential signing of three amazing Japanese wrestlers.

The six-women tag team match features Aja Kong, Yuka Sakazaki, Emi Sakura vs. Hikaru Shida, Riho, and Ryo Mizunami. The newest names to be announced by All Elite Wrestling are Riho, Ryo Mizunami and Yuka Sakazaki.

According to the newest edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer said as of right now, Riho has only been signed to a five-show deal. The reason for this short-term deal, is that the 21-year-old wants to see if she likes working in the United States before she commits to a longer contract.

Riho has been wrestling since 2006 and is already a veteran of the ring at such a young age. She is a former Triangle Ribbon Champion and currently wrestling for the Thailand based promotion, Gatoh Move Pro Wrestling. This promotion was founded by former Pro Wrestling: EVE Champion Emi Sakura and one of Riho’s opponents in the six-women tag team match.

The specifics of Mizunami and Sakura’s status with All Elite have yet to be confirmed. They may have a similar deal as Riho, or Double Or Nothing could be a one off. Aja Kong and Yuka Sakazaki were announced as signees at AEW’s Double Or Nothing ticket party that was held in Las Vegas, back in February, and Hikaru Shida, was signed last month.

The six-women tag team match is the second women’s match that has been announced for the Double Or Nothing pay-per view that takes place on May 25th, in Sin City. The first match is the triple threat between Dr. Britt Baker, Kylie Rae and Nyla Rose.

Double Or Nothing is shaping up to be an amazing card filled with talent from all over the globe. Keep checking back to Bell To Belles for all the latest updates leading up to Double Or Nothing.
