Scarlett Bordeaux asked for release, Jordynne Grace never signed

Yesterday, Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported that Scarlett Bordeaux requested her release from IMPACT Wrestling, making her the second star to do so this month. Johnson also suggests Jordynne Grace never signed a deal with the promotion.

Scarlett Bordeaux is allegedly still under contract until later this year, but Johnson was unaware of the exact expiration date. It’s unclear why she may want to leave, or if she will be granted her release. As noted, she is the second Impact star to request their release.

Back on May 14, PWInsider revealed Killer Kross asked for his release due to low pay and frustrations with his creative direction. Bordeaux could have different grievances with the promotion, but the timing isn’t a good sign.

Scarlett Bordeaux made her in-ring debut for IMPACT at the event, Against All Odds, on Mar. 29. She defeated former WCW superstar Disco Inferno, Glenn Gilberti, at the special after the two participated in a controversial war of worlds in the weeks prior

In other news, Mike Johnson contends Progress Women’s Champion, Jordynne Grace, never inked a deal with IMPACT. Grace debuted in October of 2018, appearing on the promotion’s weekly programming since. At the time, it was reported that she signed a two-year deal.

However, it seems the company has been trying to contact 23-year-old star in the last 24 hours to negotiate a deal. It’s uncertain what this means for Jordynne’s time with the promotion or how they retained her for eight months without a contract in place.

Grace appeared on the taping in Philadelphia earlier this month. So, as of now, she’s expected to be on the IMPACT’s shows in the weeks to come. Still, coupled with the rumor about Bordeaux, it has been a troubling day for Impact’s women’s division.
