The UK’s finest purveyors of women’s wrestling, Pro Wrestling: EVE, have announced that they will be heading to Brighton as they set out on the road to Wrestle Queendom. Stars announced for the show so far include EVE Champion Kay Lee Ray, EVE International Champion Utami, Jamie Hayter and Stardom regular Kagetsu.
The announcement marks EVE’s first show outside of their London home since 2013, when the promotion made regular stops in Nottinghamshire and Suffolk.
It’s an exciting time for Pro Wrestling: EVE right now. Earlier this year the promotion announced that they would be flying the flag for pro-wrestling at London’s Pride parade – an act perfectly in keeping with EVE’s mission to make professional wrestling a more inclusive and equal environment. And in just over a month’s time, EVE will be returning to York Hall for the highly anticipated Wrestle Queendom 2.
Last year’s inaugual Wrestle Queendom event was one of the most talked-about wrestling events of 2018, featuring a host of killer matches including an utterly insane War Games match, and a brutal war of attrition between the legendary Aja Kong and Viper. And the match between Kay Lee Ray and Meiko Satomura was easily one of the very best matches last year, regardless of gender.
Wrestle Queendom 2, then, has a lot to live up to – but EVE have been on fire this year, and with Kay Lee Ray taking on Viper for the EVE Championship, and a thrilling three-way between Nina Samuels, Jamie Hayter and Utami for the EVE International Championship, the card is already looking pretty damn stacked.
But the Brighton show was not the only announcement EVE had to make. On their Facebook fan page, EVE made the following cryptic announcement:

Speculation among the EVE fanbase is rife. All we’re certain of at this stage is that the venue is seated. While the Resistance Gallery is EVE’s spiritual home, it’s very exciting to see the promotion begin to spread its wings.
EVE have sold out every single show this year and it’s clear that they could quite easily accommodate more fans should they opt for a bigger venue.
