Tonight, the fourth title match has been announced for The Summit. The Latina Sensation, Mercedes Martinez, will defend the Femmes Fatales Championship against Jordynne Grace.
Femmes Fatales is a Canada-based women’s wrestling promotion, which runs shows in Ottawa, Quebec City, and Toronto.
Martinez defeated Krist Statlander for the vacant championship back in March, making this her first title defense. Jordynne Grace, the current PROGRESS Women’s Champion, is no stranger to the bright lights but this will be first opportunity to challenge for the Femmes Fatales title.
The two have faced each other in the past for the WSU World title, and again earlier this year for F1rst Wrestling.
As we reported, this is one of for women’s title match scheduled for The Summit. KC Spinelli will face Rosemary to crown the first Smash Wrestling Women’s Champion. Aeriel Monroe hopes to finally get her revenge on Zoe Lucas in a rematch for the Phoenix of Rise Championship. In addition, Nicole Matthews will challenge the SHIMMER Champion, Nicole Savoy.
This is shaping up to be a stacked card so far. Jody Threat and Mary Lee Rose will compete in a tag match against Alexia Nicole and Maeve O’Farrell. Women’s legend and Femmes Fatales co-founder, LuFisto, will make an appearance, as well All Japan Pro Wrestling Hall of Famer—Bull Nakano.
The Summit will take place The MET – Midtown Event Theatre on Aug. 10.
