As promised by Cody Rhodes in a tweet from last night, AEW has announced a women’s match for Fyter Fest on June 29.
During Episode 2 of AEW’s Road to Fyter Fest, Brandi Rhodes announced that there will be a women’s triple threat match. The match will include three names that are new to a mainstream wrestling audience – Nyla Rose, Yuka Sakazaki, and Riho.
Brandi mentioned in the video, “Yes, I promise this time it is a triple threat match, no more interference.”
She also said she “really admires a competitor like Riho. It’s really important, especially in the Joshi style to take a beating. That girl can take a beating. The entire match, she never let up, she never gave in and that is the kind of fight you need to face someone like Nyla Rose.”
Fyter Fest can be streamed live for free on June 29 at 8 p.m. ET on Bleacher Report Live, as announced yesterday by All Elite Wrestling.
