The cross-promotional mega event The Summit is shaping up to be an epic day of women’s professional wrestling, The newest match to be announced is a Fatal Four Way. The match will feature indy veterans Cheerleader Melissa and Lufisto sharing the ring with Allysin Kay and Priscilla Kelly.
Lufisto is a veteran of 22-years and announced earlier this year that she will be retiring at the year’s end. Her appearance at The Summit will serve as one of many nice send offs this year to the wrestling legend who has done so much for women’s wrestling.
The Fatal Four Way is the fifth match on the card to be announced for the event, which takes place Aug. 10 in Toronto, Canada. The previous matches announced feature championship matches involving all of the promotions participating.
The promotions taking place in The Summit are Shimmer, Smash Wrestling, Femmes Fatales and Rise. The women’s wrestling supershow is taking place during WWE SummerSlam weekend in Toronto.
Earlier this week, it was announced that Mercedes Martinez will defend her Femmes Fatales Championship against Jordynne Grace. Also on the card, Shimmer Champion Nicole Savoy is putting her title on the line against Nicole Matthews.
Smash Wrestling will crown their first women’s champion, when KC Spinelli battles Rosemary to be the inaugural champion. In addition, Aeriel Monroe takes on Zoe Lucas in a rematch for the Phoenix of Rise Championship.
This supershow is shaping up to be a can’t miss event for anyone in the Toronto area or those planning to travel for this event. The Summit will take place at The MET – Midtown Event Theatre – on Aug. 10. Tickets are available here for the event and meet and greets that take place before this mega show.
