Maria Manic signs with Ring of Honor

Mike Johnson from PWInsider.com has confirmed that independent standout Maria Manic has officially signed with Ring of Honor. Several months ago there were rumors that the company was interested in Manic due to a strong push by Joey Mercury.

Maria, 22, has only been wrestling since 2015. She began her training under the tutelage of Damien Wayne & Matt Tremont and took on a barbie doll type gimmick. It didn’t take Manic too long to realize this wasn’t who she was and has transformed her look. Manic now dons long dark hair and tattoos, including “maneater” inked across her stomach. She has put on tons of muscle and stands out from everyone else on the independent scene.

Manic has been wrestling all over the country against both men and women with her powerhouse style. She is a regular at Combat Zone Wrestling and Women Superstars Uncensored. Manic has also wrestled for ICW, Shine and Beyond Wrestling to name a few.

She has wrestled some of the best men and women that are on the independent scene. Some of her opponents have included Saraya Knight, Solo Darling, Su Young and Chris Dickinson among a long list of others.

It is unknown when Maria Manic will debut for ROH’s Women of Honor division, but it is certain she will make a huge impact for the promotion. Since she has a strong background in intergender wrestling, it would be wise for Ring of Honor to utilize her in matches against both men and women or mixed gender matches.

Manic is the 10th woman signed to the WOH roster. Some names include Mandy Leon, Kelly Klein, Angelina Love, Velvet Sky, and Japanese standouts Mayu Iwatani and Sumie Sukai.

We will keep you posted on any updates on Manic and her ROH debut.
