AEW to reveal new Women’s Title at All Out

All Elite Wrestling (AEW) has finally announced some new developments for their women’s division.

During the newest episode of “Road to Fyter Fest”, Chief Brand Officer Brandi Rhodes announced that AEW would reveal the Women’s Title during this year’s All Out, scheduled for Aug. 31, in Chicago.

Although no further details on the title were provided, the anticipation of a dedicated women’s title was suspected, after the women had a big showing during AEW’s debut event, Double or Nothing.

Women’s wrestling had a chance to shine in two matches during Double Or Nothing. The first was a Joshi showcase, a six-woman tag team match, featuring Hikaru Shida, Riho, Ryo Mizunami, Aja Kong, Yuka Sakazaki, and Emi Sakura.

The second match advertised Dr. Britt Baker, Kylie Rae and Nyla Rose in what was originally booked a triple-threat, later only to become a fatal four-way when Awesome Kong paid a surprise visit with the help of Brandi Rhodes.

No women’s match has been announced for the All Out card, as of yet, but AEW President Tony Khan also confirmed this week, during an appearance on the Steve Austin Show, that the plan was to produce Women’s Tag Team Titles, at some point in the future.

The current AEW women’s roster lists the following female wrestlers: Allie, Awesome Kong, Bea Priestley, Brandi Rhodes, Britt Baker, Hikaru Shida, Kylie Rae, Leva Bates, Nyla Rose, Penelope Ford, and Sadie Gibbs. All top contenders for the first-ever AEW Women’s Championship.

The sold out All Out will take place Aug. 31 at the Sears Centre Arena in the Chicago suburb of Hoffman Estates. Along with the Women’s Title, the event will also debut the first-ever AEW World Championship.

The upcoming Fyter Fest will take place Saturday, June 29, at Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, Florida.
