Natalya vs. Becky Lynch is set for SummerSlam

Last night, Natalya became Becky Lynch’s next opponent for the Raw Women’s Championship. The number one contender was determined with a Fatal Four-Way Elimination match.

Natalya, Naomi, Carmella, and Alexa Bliss squared off the for the chance to challenge the champion, who successfully retained her title in the main event of Extreme Rules.

Sunday, The Man teamed up with Seth Rollins to defeat Lacey Evans and Baron Corbin in a Winner Takes All mixed tag match. As a result, Evans lost the ability to challenge Lynch again, creating the opportunity for a new challenger to step forward.

On Raw, Alexa Bliss used her usual sneaky tactics. She immediately slid out of the ring to let the other three competitors tire each other out. Later, she snuck in and rolled up Carmella to secure the first elimination. Bliss continued to rely on this approach throughout the match.

This allowed Nattie and Naomi to take the spotlight and put together an impressive exchange. The two showcased their strengths for most of the second half of the bout, while Bliss tried to take advantage of their focus on each other.

This made for some inventive spots like Alexa’s attempt to pin Natalya while she was performing a surfboard. Eventually, “The Queen of Harts” rolled through Naomi’s pinning attempt and followed it up with one of her own to eliminate the former SmackDown Women’s Champion.

Once it got down to the final two, Nattie made quick work of Bliss with a Sharpshooter and punched her ticket SummerSlam in her home country. Afterward, she and Lynch got into a heated exchange that effectively set the table for their new feud.

SummerSlam will place at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on Aug. 11. Be sure to check back with Bell to Belles for more updates on the event.
