Last night, Warrior Wrestling revealed that Tessa Blanchard will team up with Daga to face the Lucha Bros at their next show. The Chicago-based indie promotions made the announcement along with several others in preparation for the event, which takes place during Labor Day weekend.
This match features an interesting mix of competitors. The Lucha Bros’ work speaks for itself. They’re considered one of the best tag teams in the world. Offering an opportunity to see Tessa Blanchard take them on immediately makes this show a must-see for indie wrestling fans.
Blanchard’s partner is Dragon Gate star – and a member of R.E.D. – Daga. He is also known for his work with AAA, where he was AAA World Cruiserweight Champion, as well as Lucha Underground. The real-life couple worked as a tag team several times this year. Recently, they faced Taya Valkyrie and Laredo Kid at Verano De Escandalo 2019.
Warrior Wrestling is still a fairly new promotion. Their debut show took place on May 11, 2018. In May, Tessa Blanchard became their inaugural women’s champion after she defeated fellow Knockout, Jordynne Grace.
