Yesterday, Squared Circle Sirens broke the news that the former WOW World Champion, Santana Garrett, signed a developmental contract with the company.

Today, WWE confirmed Garrett is one of their newest NXT signees, along with three more acquisitions to the women’s roster.

Santana Garrett’s illustrious 10-year career as a wrestler speaks for itself. She was also a participant in the first Mae Young Classic, and she has appeared on NXT on multiple occasions in the past.

Garrett will be joined by Briana Brandy, Rita Reis, and Catalina Garcia.

Brandy is a hip-hop artist who has worked with Juicy J, Soulja Boy, Ying Yang Twins, Too $hort, Jadakiss, Young Dro, and Kurupt. She’s also a boxing trainer with a background in ninjutsu, MMA, and Extreme CrossFit. Brandy attended a tryout in June of 2017.

She continued to train at the Fight Ready MMA & Fitness gym in Scottsdale, Arizona to pursue her dream to become WWE Superstar.

Rita Reis is a Jiu-Jitsu world champion, who holds multiple medals in judo and Jiu-Jitsu. The 24-year-old has won championships all over the world including her home country, Brazil, as well as the UAE. She attended a previous tryout in Santiago, Chile last December.

Catalina Garcia is a Chilean wrestler, who was formerly known as “La Diva del Ring” Jessy. She made her debut in April of 2015. Since she has worked with promotions like 5 Luchas – Clandestino, MAX Lucha Libre, and Revolución Lucha Libre—where she was a two-time women’s champion.

This is a very diverse group of women that all bring something different to the table. Garrett is absolutely the biggest name among them, but they are all top-level athletes with plenty of potential.

We’re looking forward to seeing what they will contribute to the NXT roster.
