Last night, Charlotte Flair laid down a challenge for the SmackDown Women’s Champion, Bayley, during this week’s edition of A Moment of Bliss.
“The Queen” joined Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss as a guest on the talk show, where she continued to boast about her win over Trish Stratus at SummerSlam. She proclaimed, “Trish didn’t pass the torch; I took the torch.”
Charlotte went on to reiterate that she is the “Queen of all Eras” and the face of the SmackDown women’s division. That is until Bliss interjected and said some would consider Bayley the face of the division because she is the champion.
Then, Flair went on to suggest she is the brand and that she is more marketable than Bayley, which prompted an appearance from the SmackDown Women’s Champion. She goaded Flair by telling her “at the end of the day I am the champion which means I’m better than you.”
Charlotte responded by mocking Bayley’s match with Ember Moon at SummerSlam to push the idea that she has devalued the title. She plans to fix that when she beat her at Clash of Champions. Bayley accepted her challenge.
Charlotte and Bayley have a history together going back to the Hugger’s debut on Raw in 2016. In fact, she faced Flair in a triple threat match for the Raw Women’s Championship two months later at Clash of Champions 2016.
