Awesome Kong is the latest woman added to All Elite Wrestling’s Casino Battle Royale. The Battle Royale takes place on Aug. 31 in Chicago at the All Out Pay-per-view. The winner of the Battle Royale will get a chance to compete for AEW’s inaugural Women’s Championship.

The announcement was made when Kong was being interviewed by The New York Post.

She said, I like records. (Laughs) I like breaking molds. I love making history and what not, so this is putting another notch on my belt, so to speak. Who wouldn’t want that? “

This isn’t the first time Kong has stepped foot in an AEW ring She made a surprise appearance at Double or Nothing back in May when Brandi Rhodes added her to the triple-threat match which featured, Britt Baker, Kylie Rae and Nyla Rose. Although Kong didn’t win that match, she made quite the impression on the crowd.

She then appeared at Fight For The Fallen in June, when she was in Brandi Rhodes’ corner when Rhodes took on Allie. After the match Awesome Kong and another veteran of the ring, Aja Kong, had a staredown teasing a future match between the two.

The addition of Kong to the already impressive list of women in the Battle Royale will certainly make things interesting. Although Britt Baker is favored to win by many, perhaps AEW should give the women’s championship to a woman who has done pretty much everything in professional wrestling.

The Casino Battle Royal will feature 21 women and Awesome Kong makes number 11. Ten more women will be added to the match, which already features Brandi Rhodes, Allie, Yuka Sakazaki, Nyla Rose, Britt Baker, Teal Piper, Jazz, Ivelisse, Big Swole, Sadie Gibbs and Awesome Kong.
