Kiera Hogan plans coming-out celebration in Chicago

IMPACT Wrestling is coming to Chicago in October to present Bound for Glory. That weekend, Kiera Hogan will have a coming-out celebration among the city’s LGBT+ community.

Hogan scheduled several appearances throughout the weekend. Thursday night, she will attend a pizza party hosted by The Pinta Pride Project. Founder, Molly Pinta, organized the first pride parade in Buffalo Grove in last summer. The 13-year old has gained both local and national coverage for her initiative to increase LGBT+ awareness.

Saturday, the Knockouts star will have a busy day. She will perform the ceremonial coin toss at Chicago Metropolitan Sports Association (CMSA) flag football games. The CMSA is the largest non-profit gay and lesbian sports organization in the Midwest. It’s estimated 32,000 members include all individuals regardless of their sexual orientation, gender, or gender identity.

That night, Hogan will take part in the Ceremonial Puck-Drop at the Chicago Wolves’ game, which will be the team’s inaugural Pride Night. A portion of ticket sales will be donated to Center on Halsted, an LGBT+ community center located in Lakeview.

Kiera will speak and answer questions at a brunch at the center on the following morning. She will finish off her day on Saturday, will join PREGAME at Scarlet Bar to co-host a Drag Show with Aurora Gozmic.

Kiera Hogan officially came out in July when she revealed on social media that she is dating fellow wrestler, Diamante. She also shared her story with OutSports earlier this month.

It great to see here take the announcement a step further and reach out to organizations in the city of Chicago to help others.

Speaking of, we here at Bell to Belles strongly believe that wrestling is for everyone. We want to use our platform to advocate for inclusion both online and at wrestling shows. So, we would like to share this online safety guide.

This guide seeks to empower and give them the tools to protect themselves online. Feel free to share it as well.

Bound for Glory take place at the Odeum Expo Center in Villa Park, IL on Oct. 20. It will stream live on IMPACT Plus and Fite.tv.
