Tony Khan confirms Kylie Rae was released by AEW

In some disheartening news, Kylie Rae is no longer a part of AEW. This revelation comes out of the media scrum after All Out, which took place in her hometown.

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com, he asked about Rae’s status. In response, Tony Khan told him she asked for her release and they granted it. He affirmed that the split was amicable.

It is unclear why or when she decided to leave the company but some sources suggest that she may be done with wrestling altogether.

In July, Rae canceled her remaining bookings and Dave Meltzer reported she was dealing with an undisclosed injury but she would be ready to return soon. In the weeks that followed, she deactivated her Twitter account, leaving many to speculate.

This is unfortunate. Kylie Rae appeared to be one of the company’s most promising signings after a breakout year as an independent wrestler.

The fact that the promotion kept her exit quiet until this weekend seems to indicate that there is more to this than a minor injury. With that said, it’s best to respect her privacy at this time.

We here at Bell to Belles would like to wish Kylie Rae the best in whatever she decides to do next.
