Sasha Banks vs. Becky Lynch is official for Clash of Champions

There was only one possible conclusion.

After Becky Lynch called out Sasha Banks and brought her back to WWE after a post-WrestleMania hiatus, the Raw Women’s Champion has received her wish. Lynch will face off against Banks at Clash of Champions this month, as the match was made official on the Sept. 2 episode of Monday Night Raw.

It’s safe to say that this will be the biggest match on the card. Banks and Lynch are two of the best wrestlers in the world with diehard fanbases and plenty of history between them, dating back to NXT. Their history has been a huge part of this feud, along with Lynch’s consistent statements that Sasha is supposed to be destined for the transcendental greatness that she hasn’t quite achieved in the record books.

Shining as a heel, Banks will get a chance at her first lengthy title reign and will be itching to beat Lynch on Sept. 15 in Charlotte.

Meanwhile, this is by far Becky’s biggest match since winning the Raw Women’s Championship (and SmackDown Women’s Championship) in the main event of WrestleMania 35. Defeating someone of Banks’s caliber would vault Becky’s title reign in status, though that will be an extremely difficult task. And it feels like the momentum is completely on Banks’s side.

This is a match wrestling fans simply cannot miss.
