McKenzie Mitchell announced on her Twitter page that WWE has signed her to a contract as an on-air host. Mitchell is no stranger to professional wrestling, as she worked several years with Impact Wrestling as their backstage interviewer.
Dixie Carter signed Mitchell to a contract with Impact in 2016, and she worked for the company until she left in January of 2019. Since leaving Impact, she was employed with Fox Sports West as a Digital Production Manager.
Mitchell’s role with WWE as an on-air host is unknown, but WWE seems to be bringing in new faces in preparation for SmackDown’s move to Fox on Oct. 4. The company has also hired House of Hardcore lead announcer Matt Camp to be an on-air talent.
