Tonight on the new episode of NWA Powerrr, the promotion announced that their next pay-per-view event, Into The Fire,will take place in December.
Notably, “Into The Fire” is also the name of the Dokken song NWA is using as the theme for Powerrr. This is the company’s first pay-per-view since they launched the series last week on YouTube and Facebook.
Their last event, which marked the return of The Crockett Cup, took place on April 27 in Concord, North Carolina. Allysin Kay defeated Santana Garrett to win the vacant NWA World Women’s Championship at this show.
Garrett was a replacement for Jazz, who was forced to vacate the title due to a medical issue.
Kay made her Powerrr debut tonight in a non-title match against Ashley Vox. The show’s stripped-down return to studio wrestling is refreshing in a time where other promotions appear in arenas with huge sets. It sets them apart.
Their back to basics approach is also reflected in the new NWA World Women’s Championship belt, which has a distinctly classic look. It will be interesting to see who challenges Allysin Kay for the title at the upcoming event.
Into the Fire will take place on Dec. 14. NWA hasn’t announced the location yet but stay tuned to Bell to Belles for further updates.
