Kasey Catal crowned the first Empower Champion

Last night at the White Eagle Hall in Jersey City, New Jersey, Empower Wrestling produced their third show since the company launched. Women from all over the independent wrestling scene put on stellar matches for the crowd.

In the main event, Kasey Catal defeated Nicole Savoy in a controversial fashion to become the inaugural Empower Champion. After Savoy accidentally knocked the referee out, Catal utilized her weapon of choice, the kendo stick. Then, she hit Nicole with a hangman neckbreaker to win.

Catal had this to say about her title win with Empower Wrestling. “For the first time in my career, I really feel like someone believes in me. I’m so humbled to be able to represent such a strong and talented female company and I’m excited to continue to grow and push myself as an athlete and performer. “
