In a shocking turn of events, SHIMMER crowned a new champion in the main event of Volume 116. The fatal four-way elimination match featured Nicole Savoy, Shotzi Blackheart, Priscilla Kelly, and Kimber Lee.
The all-women’s promotion scheduled the match after Blackheart requested a shot at the title last night. Shortly afterward, Kelly and Lee also asked for an opportunity to challenge Savoy, setting up a fatal four-way.
Straight away, the odds were against Savoy with three contenders gunning for her spot and it ultimately was too much to overcome. The champion scored the first elimination when she hit Priscilla Kelly with a tiger suplex.
Then, Kimber Lee hit Savoy with a Swanton Bomb, setting Blackheart up to eliminate her with the Cattle Mutilation. Savoy was the second woman eliminated, effectively ending her record-breaking reign and guaranteeing there would be a new champion.
Now that it was down to two competitors, it looked like “The Daddy from the Black Lagoon” would leave SHIMMER on top as the new champion. Instead, Kimber Lee snuck in and rolled her up for the win.
Lee is your new SHIMMER Champion. The show closed with an emotional Blackheart standing in the ring as she ended here independent wrestling career and said goodbye to SHIMMER Wrestling.
