All Elite Wrestling (AEW) announced another match for this week’s AEW Dark episode, this one with a few familiar faces.
AEW Dark will add a tag team match to the card featuring Mercedes Martinez and Aerial “Big Swole” Monroe vs. Sadie Gibbs and Allie.
This will be the second time Martinez and Monroe have stepped foot in a ring for AEW. Both were standouts in AEW All Out’s 21-woman Casino Battle Royal, which aired during the Buy-In preshow, in August. The winner of the Battle Royal got the opportunity to challenge for the AEW Women’s World Championship at their first television taping, in Oct.
Monroe entered the Royal with the second group, while Martinez pulled the Joker card, and entered last at spot 21. Neither wrestler would make it to the end, but both were fan favorites, during the event.
