Bianca Belair was one of the members of the NXT roster who invaded SmackDown on Nov. 1. She was seen beating down Carmella and Dana Brooke, who both became members of Team SmackDown. It’s safe to assume they will revisit this exchange on Sunday.
Belair could also use the exposure given the tumultuous year she has had on the “black and gold” brand. Like Dakota Kai, she also made her WrestleMania debut in the Women’s Battle Royal last year. Then, she seemed primed to dethrone the NXT Women’s Champion, Shayna Baszler, at NXT TakeOver: Pheonix.
However, “The Queen of Spades” ended her “un-de-fea-ted” streak at the event, which at least created anticipation for a rematch. Surprisingly, Baszler retained the title again at Takeover: New York, forcing Belair to submit in the process.
Since she has needed a big win to turn her fortunes around. She and Mia Yim had a great feud over the summer, but Belair has appeared sort of directionless lately.
A standout performance in the Women’s Survivor Series Match could revitalize her and put her on course for another title match. Moreover, this could be a great way to remind some fans how big of a threat she can be.
