It appears Ring of Honor fired the Women of Honor World Champion, Kelly Klein, via email.
This revelation came after Joey Mercury leaked an email, where ROH admonished Klein for supporting him during his ongoing clash with the company.
The email reads, “you have breached our existing agreement by sharing confidential documents and emails with another contractor, who used the material to defame and slander the company and one of its key officers, Greg Gilleland. You also used your social media presence to help this contractor’s Twitter account gain traction, and to validate his claims, which further your involvement in these actions.”
Update: However, Ring of Honor maintains they merely notified Klein that they don’t plan to renew her contract when it expires.
Kelly Klien’s husband, BJ Whitmer, later confirmed that the company fired her. He tweeted, “Yes, my wife Kelly Klein was fired by Ring of Honor COO Joe Koff, via email Tuesday evening. Not a phone call, an EMAIL. Kelly is still very much suffering from Post Concussion Syndrome and was fired while still injured.”
Earlier this month, Mercury took to Twitter to blast ROH for the way they handled her injury. He also revealed that she isn’t making a livable wage and implied other women on the roster make the same amount.
