The first member of MLW’s women’s division, Zeda Zhang, took on “The Spider Lady” in a one-on-one match. Zhang entered the match wearing a knee brace and her opponent immediately targeted the limb.
Zeda continued to fight back until the masked competitor locked in the Mandible Claw. She wouldn’t release the hold even though Zhang made it to the ropes.
Ultimately, the referee called for the bell, granting Zeda the win via disqualification. Afterward, Priscilla Kelly pulled off her mask to reveal she was “The Spider Lady.”
Then, she cinched in the Mandible Claw again and hit the official with a low blow, before she left the ring. Later, Kelly cut a promo where she put the new division on notice.
“Hell’s Favorite Harlot” proclaimed, “I am the queen of doing the unexpected. I am the queen of shocking people and getting into their heads”
Given the year she has had as an independent wrestler, it would be hard to deny this. Kelly is a great addition to the MLW women’s division and using the moniker that The Fabulous Moolah made famous was a nice touch.
Although she has worked with the promotion in the past, it’s unclear if she will become an exclusive member of the roster. For now, we’ll have to wait and see.
