It’s official. Jordynne Grace will challenge Taya Valkyrie for the Knockouts Championship next month at Hard to Kill.
This feud has been brewing for a while. Back in March, Grace defeated Tessa Blanchard to become the new number one contender. However, Valkyrie managed to retain the title via count-out.
“Thick Mama Pump” unfortunately lost her next chance at a title match to Madison Rayne, but it was only a matter of time before she faced “La Wera Loca” again.
On the Oct. 29 episode of IMPACT!, Jordynne Grace, Alexia Nicole, and Rosemary defeated the team of Kiera Hogan, Madison Rayne, and Taya Valkyrie. Grace picked up the win for her team as she pinned the champion, staking her claim to the Knockouts Championship in the process.
A few weeks ago, she gained another statement win when she beat Valkyrie and John E. Bravo in a handicap match. In the end, Taya left Bravo high and dry to take pin but the message was clear; she won’t be able to run for much longer.
Grace and Valkyrie will finally clash next year. At the same event, Tessa Blanchard will challenge Sami Callihan for the IMPACT World Championship.
Hard To Kill will take place on Jan. 12 at The Bomb Factory in Dallas, Texas. Tickets are available here.
