According to Squared Circle Sirens, Aja Perera is among the indie talent who received a WWE tryout this week. WWE began their December tryouts today at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

Perera is a 25-year-old veteran of the ring, who has wrestled all over the globe since her debut in 2013. She is currently one half of the Shine Tag Team Champions, Triple Aye along with Big Swole.

Perera and Swole etched their names in the history books at Shine 61 in September when they became the first black women to ever hold the tag team titles since the promotion’s inception.

Besides Shine, Aja Perera has wrestled for Women Superstars Uncensored, Shimmer and Queens of Combat, to name a few. She is also among the list of women who are vying for the Shine Nova Champion at next weekend’s tournament.

Other names that appeared in Orlando for the tryout include, weightlifter Jennifer Cantu, MMA fighter Lainey Nations and wrestler Jessica Roden. Arissa LeBrock, the daughter of actor Steven Seagal, is also in attendance for the tryouts.
