Kylie Rae becomes a two-time Freelance World Champion

Last night, Kylie Rae became the second two-time Freelance World Champion when she defeated Ethan Page in two out of three falls match at War is Inevitable.

Rae made her return to wrestling at Freelance Wrestling‘s Game of the Gender in September. She shocked the wrestling industry when she replaced Shotzi Blackheart at the event following her release from AEW.

Since, the Chicago native has made several appearances for other independent promotions in her hometown, where she initially made a name for here.

At War is Inevitable, Kylie Rae took on the Freelance World Champion, Ethan Page, in the main event. The two have developed a great rivalry this year as “All Ego” ended Kylie’s first reign back in April. In her rematch at The Good, The Bad And The Smiley, he lived to fight another day after the original referee reversed Rae’s win, granting him the victory via disqualification.

Last night, Page hit Rae with the Big Boy Bomb to earn the fall and force her to fight from underneath. The challenger showed a lot of heart to survive and score her first fall.

Later, the referee got knocked out, putting the match in peril. Eventually, another official came out and awarded the Rae the final fall.

“Smiley” Kylie Rae is the new Freelance World Champion. The win brings her year as an indie wrestler full circle, closing 2019 on a high note.
