English wrestler, Lana Austin, will make her first trip to Japan to challenge Yuka Sakazaki for the Princess of Princess Championship.
Austin and Sakazaki wrestled to a fifteen-minute time limit draw at Wrestle Queendom 3. It was one of the best matches on the card. In fact, the two received a standing ovation.
On Friday, Pro Wrestling: EVE released a post-match interview with Austin. She spoke about how gratifying it was to receive such a positive reaction for the first time in her career.
“I’m feeling very emotional, very overwhelmed,” she said. “That is the first time I’ve ever had a standing ovation in a match and it made me want to cry. And then wrestling her, absolutely amazing, dreams come true.”
After the match and during this segment, Austin lamented that she couldn’t make a three-month tour of Japan like many wrestlers do. So, this would have to do for now.
Then, Dann Read interrupted to surprise her with news that she will head to Japan for two weeks in February to work with Tokyo Joshi Pro.
Lana Austin will compete in a rematch against Yuka Sakazaki for the Princess of Princess Championship on Feb. 11 at Kitazawa Town Hall in Tokyo.
