This Friday, Thunder Rosa will challenge Allysin Kay for the NWA World Women’s Championship at NWA Hard Times
Kay’s feud with Thunder Rosa has been brewing for months. When Rosa debuted on Powerrr last October, she invited Allysin’s friend, Marti Belle, to join her.
On episode 5, Rosa attacked Kay and Belle joined in. Two weeks later, they defeated the champion and Ashley Vox in a tag team match thanks to a distraction from Melina.
The three formed an alliance in the build to Into the Fire, where Kay beat Melina and Marti Belle with an assist from ODB. Meanwhile, Rosa, who has been working to isolate the champion, injured Vox and made quick work of Tasha Steelz.
This weekend, things will finally come to a head as Rosa gets her shot at the NWA World Women’s Championship. This will be Allysin Kay’s first televised title defense since the premiere of Powerrr.
With Belle and Melina in Thunder Rosa’s corner, this could be a tough match against an opponent, who has already proven to be vicious.
NWA Hard Times will take place this Friday, Jan. 24 at GPB Studios in Atlanta, GA. The event will be available on Fite.tv.
