At Hard Times, Thunder Rosa ended Allysin Kay’s nine-month reign to become the new NWA World Women’s Championship.
On Friday night, Rosa faced Allysin Kay one on one for the first in women’s title match. In a hotly contested bout, the competitors traded strikes early on.
This would become a theme throughout, in what would be a hard-hitting match. Eventually, Rosa targeted the champion’s arm and tried to force her to submit with a Lebell Lock to no avail.
Kay managed to apply a guillotine hold but Rosa fought out and continued to attack her injured arm. Later, Allysin hit Rosa with the AK47 but she surprisingly kicked out.
The champion showed a lot of heart, fighting every submission attempt all the way to the end.
However, just when it looked like she could pull off another comeback, Thunder Rosa nailed Kay with the Thunder Driver to become the twenty-ninth NWA World Women’s Champion.
