Charlotte Flair wins the 2020 Women’s Royal Rumble

Charlotte Flair entered the 2020 Women’s Royal Rumble match at no. 17 and went on to win, earning a title shot at WrestleMania 36.

The women put on a strong performance in their third annual Royal Rumble but Bianca Belair shined the brightest. “The EST of NXT” was entrant number two and she went on to last for over 30 minutes.

In addition, she set a new record with eight eliminations, breaking Michelle McCool’s record at five. Belair eliminated surprise entrant, Mighty Molly. Then, she scored six more on Nikki Cross, Sonya Deville, Mandy Rose, Candice LeRae, Tamina, and Dana Brooke.

Then, in one of the biggest surprises of the night, she eliminated Alexa Bliss, who was entrant number one. Ultimately, Flair ended Belair’s run after she entered at no. 17. Then, she knocked off Sarah Logan and Kelly Kelly.

Beth Pheonix entered at no. 19 and had a strong showing, despite the fact that she bled profusely throughout the match. The event really picked up when former NXT Women’s Champion, Shayna Baszler, joined the fight.

“The Queen of Spades” earned seven straight eliminations before she tied Belair with eight when she threw Pheonix out of the ring. She looked like the woman to beat.

However, Charlotte Flair eventually forced her out to become the 2020 Women’s Royal Rumble winner.
