This news, which was revealed on WWE Now, comes off the heels of Nox’s win over Kai on this week’s episode of NXT. The two have been in a heated feud since “The Captain of Team Kick” turned on her longtime partner at NXT TakeOver: WarGames.
At the event, Kai brutally attacked Nox, putting her out of action for a few weeks. When she returned, they were right back at each other’s throats. This escalated when Dakota cost Nox a shot at the NXT Championship during the women’s battle royal two weeks ago.
Their animosity even spilled into Royal Rumble weekend when Tegan Nox jumped Dakota Kai at Worlds Collide last Saturday. This week, they finally met in the ring. Nox ultimately picked up the win with the use of her knee brace while the referee’s back was turned.
Kai will have her chance at revenge in two weeks when they face off in a Street Fight. On the same card, Rhea Ripley will defend the NXT Championship against Bianca Belair, who had a stellar performance in the women’s Royal Rumble match.
NXT TakeOver: Portland will take place on Sunday, Feb. 16 at the Moda Center in Portland, OR.
