As Charlotte Flair prepared to announce who she would challenge at WrestleMania, she was greeted by a surprise guest, Rhea Ripley.
Ever since she won the women’s Royal Rumble match last weekend, everyone has been trying to predict who Charlotte will use her title shot on. Tonight, she was supposed to reveal who her opponent will be at WrestleMania 36.
She teased, “I’ve held the Raw Women’s Championship multiple times and I’ve beaten Becky. I’ve held the Raw Women’s Championship multiple times and I’ve beaten Bayley.”
Then, the crowd started to chant “NXT.” In response, Flair said, “Yes, The Queen has lover for NXT and NXT has love for their queen.” But as she put it, she wants “all the gold.”
This prompted the NXT Champion’s music and Rhea Ripley marched down to the ring to confront Charlotte Flair. Once inside, she laid down a challenge of her own.
“Like you said, you’ve already beaten Becky and you’ve already beaten Bayley,” she said. “But you know who you haven’t beaten? Me. As a matter of fact, I’ve actually beaten you. If you’re going to challenge for any title at WrestleMania, well…”
However, Flair didn’t respond. She walked up the ramp and turned around once she reached the top to say “Woo.” Later, WWE announced that she will give her an answer on this week’s episode of NXT.
