The Kabuki Warriors set a new record for WWE women’s tag titles

As of today, The Kabuki Warriors are the longest-reigning WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.

Asuka and Kairi Sane have held the titles for 121 days with four successful defenses. They originally captured the titles last October when they defeated Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross at Hell in a Cell.

Their reign just surpassed the IIconics record-setting 120-day tenure as champions. Although hey’re only the fourth duo to hold the new iteration of the women’s tag titles, they have already achieved more than the other champions.

The Kabuki Warriors became the first team to defend the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship on NXT when they faced Dakota Kai and Tegan Knox. They also successfully retained the title in a star-studded fatal four-way at Starrcade.

Most recently, they also became the first WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions to defend the titles in the main event of a pay-per-view at TLC. At the event, they picked up a second win over the team of Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair.

Heading into WrestleMania 36, Asuka and Kairi Sane could gain a new set of challengers soon. For now, we’ll have to wait and see.
