Indie Spotlight: Sierra

At the young age of 20 years old, indie sensation Sierra has accomplished more in her five years as a wrestler than many do their entire careers.

She has held twelve titles for four separate promotions. Notably, she was a five-time Brew City Wrestling (BCW) Women’s Champion.

Just this past September, Sierra took a hiatus from wrestling. At the time, she said she was mentally burnt out trying to juggle school, work, and her professional wrestling career. Well, five months later and she announced on Twitter that she is ready to return to the ring.

Who is Sierra?

Age: 20

Birthplace: Milwaukee, WI

Trained: She trained at Thumpers Den Wrestling Academy under the ‘Beer City Bruiser’ Matt Winchester & Frankie DeFalco.

Debut match: July 4, 2015 at Summerfest in Milwaukee, WI

When she started watching pro wrestling:

“I grew up with wrestling as it was something my parents watched, but I really became interested in it when I was 11.”

Her journey into pro wrestling:

“I made the decision to start training when I was 15. I found out about Brew City Wrestling after going to a fair near my house and saw one of my first Indy wrestling shows there. I got in contact with Brew City’s owner, Frankie DeFalco, and told him my interest in training.”

“January of 2015, I attended one of BCWs shows in West Allis, WI and Frank put me to work at the merchandise table. Two months later in March, I had my first training session. I only trained once a month before shows for about 4 hours every time. Four months later and about six training sessions later I had my first match! “

Inspirations in the ring:

“Some of my inspirations growing up were Victoria, Melina, and Natalya.”

Her in-ring style:

“I’d say my style is more of a brawler/striker. I do a lot of moves where I hit my opponent with my knees.”

Favorite match to date:

“One of my most memorable matches was a match at the Oak Creek Lions Fest. It was me and Brandon Blaze against Matt Winchester & Stacy Shadows. That match STILL sticks out to me. I remember it being so fun and I learned so much in that match!

Favorite opponent to date:

“Some of my favorite opponents are Stacy Shadows, Tylor Sullivan, Vanessa Azure, Kylie Rae, and Joey Avalon!”

Future goals:

“My goals have definitely changed throughout the years. As of right now I just want to have fun & wrestle as many people as I can!”

Dream opponents:

“That’s really hard to decide because I would honestly love to wrestle everyone but if I had to pick a few I’d pick Kimber Lee, Toni Storm, & Jessicka  Havok!  “
