Taynara Conti reportedly walked out on WWE

It would seem that NXT’s resident judo practitioner, Taynara Conti, walked out on WWE.

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fighful, Conti had a disagreement with the company back in January, which was possibly a financial dispute. Additionally, sources told Casey Michael of Squared Circle Sirens that she walked out during the women’s battle royal on the Jan. 15 episode of NXT.

Apparently, Taynara’s husband, Jorge Conti, confirmed that she is still under contract with WWE with MMA reporter, Matheus Costa. So, they haven’t officially parted ways.

Before she joined WWE, Taynara Conti competed on the Brazilian team in the 2016 Summer Olympics. Although she holds a blue belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and a black belt in judo, she had no prior experience as a wrestler before she signed with the company in 2016.

Conti famously made her debut in the inaugural Mae Young Classic. She debuted on NXT on the episode that aired on Oct. 11, 2017. Since she had competed in 103 matches.

Her last appearance was at a live event on Jan. 12, where she took part in a tag team match with Bianca Belair, Kayden Carter, and Mia Yim. However, Conti took on Candice LeRae in her last televised match was on Christmas Day.
