IIconics pulled from TV to possibly be repackaged

The IIconics have been noticeably absent from WWE programming for some time.

According to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer, WWE has pulled the Aussie duo of Peyton Royce and Billie Kay from television. Meltzer suggests creative may be considering repackaging the former Women’s Tag Team Champions.

The last time Royce and Kay appeared on TV was on the Nov. 18 episode of RAW when they lost to the team of Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch. The IIconics are a very talented duo with great chemistry. However, they have been floundering since they lost the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships to Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross in a Fatal Four-Way match on Raw in August.

Royce and Kay started their journey into professional wrestling when they were teenagers. They both trained at the same school in Australia and were signed to a developmental contract in 2015. They made a name for themselves in NXT and were called up to the main roster in 2018.

Perhaps repackaging their gimmick or even just some time away will give these talented women a new lease on their careers when they do eventually return to WWE programming.

What do you think of IIconics being repackaged? Leave a comment below and let us know.
