At Warrior Wrestling 8, eight of the most talented women’s wrestlers competed in a historic match for the promotion’s women’s title.
This weekend, Tessa Blanchard defended the Warrior Wrestling Women’s Championship for the first time in the promotions first-ever Women’s War of Attrition Match.

This original stipulation is a three falls match, where the eight competitors split up for a four-on-four match. The winners then paired up for a tag match. Finally, the winning team would go one-on-one for the title.
Tessa came to the ring sporting both the Warrior Wrestling Women’s and the IMPACT World Championship similar to the way Brian Cage has in the past with both world titles. It was quite a sight to behold.
To start, the team of Ray Lyn, Big Swole, Kylie Rae, and Tasha Steelz took on Blanchard, Taya Valkyrie, Britt Baker, and Madison Rayne. Each woman got to showcase their respective characters, but Baker ultimately picked up the win for her team.
Then, she picked Madison Rayne to take on the team of former IMPACT Knockouts Champions. Later, Valkyrie eliminated the pair when she pinned Rayne.
This is when the match kicked into another gear as Blanchard and “La Wera Loca” reignited their storied rivalry in a one-on-one match. The intensity picked up as the two fought out into the crowd and back in the ring.
At one point, Valkyrie somehow survived a pair of Canadian Destroyers for a surprising near fall. However, Blancard eventually won with the Buzzsaw to retain her title.
