In April, the biggest wrestling company in the world will take over Tampa, FL for WrestleMania 36. Apparently, WWE has contacted former Diva, Cameron, to work during the week of the festivities.
According to Mike Johnson at PWInsider, Cameron is among the names on a list of former superstars WWE has booked for the week of WrestleMania. The former Funkadactyl, whose real name is Ariane Andrew, is already scheduled to make her in-ring return at EFFY’s Big Gay Brunch on that Saturday.
Andrew hasn’t appeared on WWE programming since January of 2016 when she lost to Alexa Bliss on an episode of NXT. Her last match with the company was at a live event. At the show, she competed in a six-woman tag match featuring Alicia Fox, Paige, Sasha Banks, Tamina, and her former partner—Naomi.
It’s unclear what capacity Cameron will return in, but she was popular during the Divas Era. So, she will be a welcomed addition for some fans. This could also play into whatever WWE has planned for Naomi this year “The Show of Shows.”
At any rate, Ariane Andrew, formerly known as Cameron, will take on Jamie Senegal EFFY’s Big Gay Brunch on Saturday, Apr. 4. The event will take place at The Cuban Club in Ybor City at 11 am E.T.
