WWE reportedly has six women’s matches planned for WrestleMania 36

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE could have six women’s matches planned for WrestleMania 36.

This news would mean the women’s division would play a bigger role than ever before on “The Grandest Stage of Them All.” To date, three women’s matches are the most they’ve delivered on a WrestleMania card. Of course, fans should take this report with a grain of salt but it’s at least plausible.

So far, Charlotte Flair vs. Rhea Ripley is the only match featuring women that WWE has confirmed. At Elimination Chamber, NatalyaLiv MorganShayna BaszlerAsukaRuby Riott, and Sarah Logan will compete for the chance to face Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 36.

After her appearance on the Feb. 10 episode of Raw, Baszler is a safe bet to win and become the Lynch’s opponent. There have also been reports that Naomi will challenge Bayley for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at the event.

In addition, Meltzer suggests that there are three more women’s matches planned for WrestleMania 36. Those would include the third annual WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal, a WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match, and one more unannounced match.

If all six matches don’t make the final card, there’s a pretty strong chance that fans could see at least four of them. That could conceivably make this the first year in WrestleMania history where three women’s titles will be defended at the event.

For now, this is merely speculation but what do you think? Drop a comment below and let us know which matches you hope to see at WrestleMania 36.
