Next month, Hyan will challenge Kris Statlander for the AAW Women’s Championship at EPIC: The 16 Year Anniversary Event.
Back in December, Statlander defeated Jessicka Havok to become the fourth AAW Women’s Champion. Over the weekend, she took on Jody Threat in her first title defense at The Art of War.
The two had a thrilling match featuring a skateboard spot and some great near falls. At one point, Threat hit the champion with an F5 but it wasn’t enough to put Statlander away. In the end, “The Galaxy’s Greatest Alien” used the Big Bang Theory to win and successfully defend her title.
Afterward, Hyan came down to challenge Statlander for the championship in March. Earlier that night, “The Renaissance Woman” beat Christi Jaynes and Kenzie Paige in a triple threat match with the help of Stephen Wolf.
Sunday, AAW made the match official for their upcoming 16 Year Anniversary show. So, EPIC will be the destination for their first one-on-one match. They both took part in a triple threat match to crown the Interim Heart of SHIMMER Champion in November, where Hyan won the title.
Kimber Lee will also face two-time AAW Women’s Champion, Jessicka Havok, at the event.
AAW EPIC will take place on Mar. 20 at the Logan Square Auditorium.
