ROH announced the two latest names announced for their Women’s World Title Tournament, Ashley Vox and Gia Scott .
The addition of Vox and Scott confirms twelve of the sixteen women who will compete for the inaugural championship. They will join Alex Gracia, Mandy Leon, Session Moth Martina, Tasha Steelz, Jenny Rose, Sumie Sakai, Angelina Love, Kellyanne, Katarina, and Nicole Savoy.
Ashley Vox is one of the most talented indie wrestlers to come out of the New England area. She is one-half of Team Sea Stars along with her sister Delmi Exo. They are the current Shimmer Tag Team Champions.
Vox, who has established herself as one of the top female wrestlers on the independent circuit in recent years, impressed ROH officials in the handful of dark matches she competed in for the company in 2018.She is no stranger to championship gold, as she and her sister Delmi Exo — known collectively as Team Sea Stars — are the reigning Shimmer Tag Team Champions. They ended the 377-day reign of veteran stars Mercedes Martinez and Cheerleader Melissa this past November.
Gia Scott is the self-proclaimed, “The Greatest Damn Woman” and she has the talent to back it up. The 21-year-old wrestler is an ROH Dojo graduate, who has been tearing up the ring in Maryland Championship Wrestling (MCW).
Although she has only been wrestling for two years, the 21-year-old Scott has dominated the women’s division in MCW (Maryland Championship Wrestling), an ROH affiliate and one of the top independent promotions in pro wrestling. Scott is the current and three-time holder of the MCW Women’s Title.
The ROH Women’s World Championship Tournament will begin at Quest For Gold on Apr. 24 in Philadelphia, PA at the 2300 Arena.
