Warehouse Wars, Freelance Wrestling’s weekly live event, has a new name and an official date and time slot.
As we reported over the weekend, Freelance and Pro Wrestling Tees will host a weekly live stream from their warehouse in Chicago. The event, which will be available on IWTV, was previously called In Our Warehouse.
However, WWE sent Freelance a cease and desist order, forcing them to change the name and logo because of its resemblance to In Your House. WWE retired the iconic pay-per-view event in February of 1999, but they apparently took umbrage with this homage to their intellectual property.
Black Label Pro’s owner, Mikey Blanton, confirmed this on Twitter on Tuesday afternoon. “Looks like the crack legal team over at WWE sent out another cease and desist,” he said. “This time to Freelance Wrestling over their ‘In Our Warehouse’ event.”
The weekly show will start his weekend under the name, Warehouse Wars. The event will offer fans the ability to donate to their favorite independent wrestler following recent cancellations.
Warehouse Wars will take place on Saturday, Mar. 21 at 7 p.m. CST. Be sure to check back with Bell to Belles for more updates on the card.
