After weeks of speculation, WWE finally announced that Bayley will defend the SmackDown Women’s Champion at WrestleMania 36 in a Six-Pack Challenge.
That’s right. WWE revealed that Bayley will have an opponent at “The Show of Shows” after all. In fact, she will have five as she defends her title against Lacey Evans, Dana Brooke, Tamina, Naomi, and Sasha Banks.
The SmackDown Women’s Champion has made her share of enemies lately. On tonight’s episode, she made a new one in Paige, who announced the Six-Pack Challenge.
This puts her in a precarious situation against three women she successfully defended the title against. As if the numbers’ advantage wasn’t enough, she will also have to contend with her partner in crime, Sasha Banks.
Bayley and Banks have a complicated history. They have been on the same page for the better part of a year but competition has split them up in the past. “The Boss” will wholeheartedly support her friend as champion, but when she has her chance to compete for it is all business.
Could this match reignite Banks’ storied rivalry with Bayley at WrestleMania 36 or will they ultimately work together to fend off the other four competitors?
