WWE officially released Taynara Conti

Taynara Conti is the latest name among a list of WWE Superstars who have been released.

According to PWInsider, WWE released Conti, who notably walked out on the company back in January.

On Wednesday, WWE made massive cutbacks and the women’s roster wasn’t exempt. Sarah Logan, Deonna Purrazzo, and MJ Jenkins were all let go in one of the biggest turnabouts in the company’s history.

Although she returned to WWE in February, it would seem that Taynara Conti was released before this week. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com, confirmed that she is no longer with WWE, but they didn’t release her today.

So far, Conti, Purrazzo, and Jenkins are the only women who were cut from NXT, but there are reportedly more to come. In addition, former wrestler and Mae Young Classic participant turned coach, Serena Deeb, was also released.

It’s a very unfortunate time for the wrestling industry. Independent wrestlers and promotions have been hit hard. However, these cuts prove that even performers signed to the largest wrestling company in the world also have it hard.

Taynara Conti signed with as a Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioner with no prior wrestling experience. Recently, she made some real strides and proved she had some potential.
