Scarlett Bordeaux makes long-awaited NXT debut

Scarlett Bordeaux finally made her debut on tonight’s episode of NXT as she accompanied Karrion Kross to his first match.

The former IMPACT Knockout was one of the highlights of the night. Scarlett Bordeaux didn’t wrestle in her NXT debut but she made an impact with an incredible entrance alongside Kross.

Kross and Bordeaux looked like stars straight away. His match with Leon Ruff wasn’t much to write home about but it was a great way to introduce the real-life couple.

Bordeaux joined NXT back in November after IMPACT granted her release over the summer. Fans have been waiting for her to show up on “the black and gold brand” ever since.

She made a handful of brief appearances before tonight but her official introduction will be one of the most talked-about moments from tonight’s episode.

In other news, Charlotte Flair retained the NXT Women’s Championship in her first defense against Io Shirai. After a hard-fought match, Shirai won via disqualification after the champion struck her with a kendo stick.

Afterward, Flair continued her assault until Rhea Ripley returned to help Shirai. This was Ripley’s first appearance on NXT since she dropped the title to Charlotte at WrestleMania 36.

“The Genius of the Sky” didn’t appreciate the assist, which sparked a scuffle backstage. Could this set the stage for a triple threat match later?
