Monday, The IIconics finally made their WWE Raw return after being off television for six months.
Peyton Royce and Billie Kay returned to interrupt this week’s Moment of Bliss. In the process, they made it clear that they intend to regain the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
Kay and Royce signed with Raw as free agents after the WWE Draft last October. They made their debut on the brand on the Oct. 28 episode in a losing effort against Charlotte Flair and Natalya.
The two made their last appearance on Nov. 18 in a match with Flair and Becky Lynch. After suffering another loss, they weren’t seen on WWE programming, and rumors surfaced that the company planned to repackage them.
Tonight, they defeated the reigning champions, Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross, to earn a shot at the titles. The IIconics will challenge Bliss Cross Applesauce next week on Raw.
The duo lost the titles to Bliss and Cross last March in a Fatal Four Way Elimination Match. They unsuccessfully challenged them on the SummerSlam Kickoff show, but this is their chance to become the second two-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.
