Billie Kay addresses why she slapped Peyton Royce

On WWE’s The Bump, Billie Kay explained why she slapped Peyton Royce after their match on this week’s episode of Raw.

Last week, The IIconics made their return to WWE. They defeated Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross to earn a chance to regain the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.

Monday, Bliss Cross Applesauce retained the titles after Royce got disqualified. This sparked an uncharacteristic argument backstage where Billie Kay slapped Peyton Royce.

Many fans online assumed this meant the duo could split up. However, Kay cleared things up yesterday on The Bump.

“I’m just going to say this once, and then we can move on from it,” she said. “That was our first fight in fifteen years of friendship, our first fight ever. It just so happens that it was televised for the whole world to see. On Monday night, our emotions just got the better of us. Peyton got frustrated in the match, and then I got frustrated after the match. I think what we need to focus on and you see in that clip, isn’t the fight. It’s what happened after that. It’s us embracing each other. It’s us saying that we love each other and that we’re sorry.”

“At the end of the day, we want to become the two-time Tag Team Champions and that’s still the goal for us. So, it’s heartbreaking to watch. I don’t like to see that at all but we’ve moved past it. We’re still The IIconics, and we’re stronger than ever.”

  1. Well, I think that somethings in the WWE are not all fake, and that sometimes things can and will get out of hand. This happens not just with Billie Kay and Peyton Royce but with all of the Superstars, and its amazing how well they handle it. Now, fans do realize that everything these superstars do is scripted, but we also realize that sometimes superstars break characters and what we see on screen cannot be determined whether or not its fake or real, only the superstars can say, From what I have seen since Billie Kay slapped Peyton Royce is that things are beginning to go off script and become real, like for example Mandy Roses arm injury or the attack on Dana Brooke. Quite frankly in my opinion, I think that the WWE should take more care of their superstars because between the injuries and the attacks on each other, we are loosing Superstars more faster than they can hire them.
