Arisa Hoshiki emerged as one of the best wrestlers in the world last year. During her stint as the thirteenth Wonder of Stardom Champion, she delivered some stellar matches and proved just how much she had improved.
The “Shining Star” was among the original rookie class Fuka trained in 2010. She made her debut at STARDOM’s first event on Jan. 23, 2011.
Hoshiki had some notable matches during the promotion’s first year but she left wrestling in 2012. She returned in 2018 and went on to have a breakout year in 2019 as a full-time member of the roster.

Arisa won the 2019 Cinderella Tournament and used her wish to challenge Momo Watanabe for the Wonder of Stardom Championship. A month later, she ended her record-setting reign and kicked off a meteoric tenure with the “white belt.”
Unfortunately, the 24-year-old star was forced to retire last month due to nagging head and neck injuries. It’s a real shame because she was in the middle of the best run of her career.
She had so much upside too. Hoshiki was billed as 5’6 but she looked almost statuesque in comparison to her peers. She’s long and athletic and she boasted some of the best kick in wrestling.
Losing her will be a big blow to STARDOM. The company clearly saw her as a top star because she was one of the first women to compete on a Wrestle Kingdom card in January.
Although her career was cut short, the “Shining Star” made an impact in a short amount of time. Here are the top five Arisa Hoshiki matches.
