On Tuesday’s episode of IMPACT!, Deonna Purrazzo made her debut and set her sights on the Knockouts Championship.
Two weeks ago, Deonna Purrazzo revealed that she signed with IMPACT after weeks of speculation centered around where she would end up. “The Virtuosa” appeared in a vignette on the May 26 episode.
Purrazzo was supposed to make her in-ring debut tonight. However, she didn’t wrestle and she wasn’t her dressing room when reached for a backstage interview.
Later, Taya Valkyrie challenged Jordynne Grace for the Knockouts Championship in the main event. Their rematch was originally a Full Metal Mayhem Match scheduled for Rebellion in April. Unfortunately, the outbreak of COVID-19 forced IMPACT to change the match the week prior.
Grace and Valkyrie delivered a great match. In the end, Jordynne successfully defended her title, forcing “La Wera Loca” to submit with a sleeper hold.
As Grace celebrated, Purrazzo finally made her presence known when she came down and attacked the champion. She applied her trademark Fujiwara Armbar as Jordynne went to shake her hand, making it clear that she intends to be her next challenger.
Right away, it looks like Deonna Purrazzo will fit well with IMPACT as a member of the Knockouts division.
